Puros Bone Grafting Products
The Puros family of bone grafting products provides an effective and predictable1 clinical outcome for patients requiring bony enhancement of the mandible and maxilla in a timely manner. The patented Tutoplast® process gently removes unwanted material such as fats, cells, antigens, and inactivates pathogens, while preserving the valuable minerals and collagen matrix, leading to complete and rapid bone regeneration.2 Puros allografts are used in clinical situations where a human allograft is appropriate, such as dental bone grafting procedures, sinus grafting or in conjunction with dental implant procedures. All Puros products feature easy handling, quick hydration, five-year shelf life, and room temperature storage.
Puros Block Allograft*
|
Bone loss limits the ability to successfully place dental implants and/or partial dentures due to the absence of sufficient bony volume in the mandible or maxilla. The Puros block allograft replaces the need for autogenous bone harvesting by providing a sterile-packaged block of corticocancellous bone for implantation. The Puros block allograft eliminates the need for a secondary surgical procedure, thereby saving operating room time and costs, reducing pain and morbidity, and shortening the rehabilitation time for the patient.3

|
The Puros block allograft:
-
Provides a predictable and highly effective alternative to traditional block grafting.1,3 It is delivered sterile,3 is readily available, and offers a virtually unlimited source for the surgeon’s block grafting needs.
-
Increases bone volume for surgical ridge augmentation in patients where bone volume has been reduced due to atrophy, thereby increasing the primary stability of subsequently inserted implants.3
-
Solves the problem of the limited amount of bone that can be taken from a donor site.3

Puros Cortical Particulate Allograft*
The Puros cortical particulate allograft product provides an effective complement to our existing cancellous particulate product offering.
Puros Cortical Allograft:
-
Used where space maintenance and volume enhancement are desired, including sinus elevations, extraction sockets, and ridge augmentations.
-
Provides the necessary bony structure needed to support subsequent dental implants through the generation and remodeling of vital, vascularized bone tissue.
-
Provides a high quality alternative to existing competitive bone grafting products.

Puros Cancellous Particulate Allograft*
Puros cancellous particulate allograft has been used in dental applications with reliable and predictable clinical results.1 Puros cancellous particles provide an exceptional matrix for ingrowth of blood and cells to facilitate the remodeling process.1 Puros cancellous has become the product of choice for many surgeons due to its history of complete, rapid and effective bone regeneration.1 It effectively remodels, leaving behind healthy, natural bone.1 Puros cancellous particulate allografts have shown successful results in:
-
Localized augmentation of the ridge for future implant placement4
- Reconstruction of the ridge for prosthetic therapy4
- Filling of osseous defects, such as extraction sockets.1,4
- Elevation of maxillary sinus floor4
- Augmentation or reconstructive treatment of alveolar ridge4
- Repair of infrabony periodontal defects4

Procurement: All tissue procured meets stringent specifications during donor
screening and laboratory testing to reduce the risk of transmitting infectious disease.
Processing: The proprietary, patented Tutoplast purification process minimizes
risk and assures high tissue quality through a proven process that has been developed
and refined with over more than two decades of clinical experience. The processing
of all Puros products consists of a strict, quality-controlled procedure which involves
thorough cleaning of all tissue as well as gentle dehydration with solvents. The
process leaves virtually no deleterious residue and eliminates nearly all antigenic
properties.
Zimmer Dental’s complete line of Puros bone allograft products offer an
excellent choice for clinicians who desire effective clinical results in a timely
