Multicenter Study

Immediate splinting and loading of dental implants at the time of placement in the
edentulous mandible has demonstrated excellent clinical results, and provide the
patient with a functional prosthesis from the day of surgery.1-6 This
article will outline clinical procedures for splinting and loading four AdVent dental
implants with bar overdenture restoration in the edentulous mandible currently utilized
as part of an current 5-year prospective clinical study conducted at University
of Pittsburgh, Boston University and University of Lyon, France.
